According to 2020 Bloomberg Innovation Index, South Korea’s Six-Year Streak as Most Innovative Nation is handed to Germany this year. Germany took the first place in the 2020 Bloomberg Innovation Index after South Korea’s six-year winning streak, while the U.S. fell one notch to No. 9. South Korea ranks the second in this year's innovative index rankings on the list of 60 countries, which has held the top spot for six consecutive years from 2014 to 2019. South Korea scores 88.16 points by 0.05 points less than Germany that scores 88.21 points. The third place is Singapore (87.01 points), three steps up from last year (sixth place). Switzerland (85.67 points) ranks fourth, same as last year. In the fifth place is Sweden (85.50), two places rise from last year (seventh).
